Pikes Peak Athletics presents a one-of-a-kind day camp for swimmers. This camp features state-of-the-art technique instruction in all four strokes, their turns, starts and other skills required in competitive swimming. Join us for five days of learning and executing the fundamentals and subtleties of swimming from experienced and skilled instructors. Each day of the week campers will focus on a different competitive stroke, concluding the week with a focus on individual medleys.
One of the unique features of this camp is extensive use of video. Athletes will learn from listening, watching and executing. Lectures that incorporate video footage of Olympians will kick-off the experience each morning with practical instruction and demonstration. Athletes will watch the best swimmers in the world performing skills at the highest level and will be coached in the practice of those skills. Proven in-water drills taught using low athlete-to-coach ratio will enhance the learning experience in a highly interactive atmosphere. Each camper will be videotaped underwater in all four strokes. Pikes Peak Athletics believes strongly that the ability for campers to watch themselves swimming underwater affords a rare and special opportunity for learning and adjusting their own technique. All swimmers registered two weeks prior to the camp will also get a t-shirt at the beginning of the week.
